FORMATION

The “children help The Gambia was originated as private initiative of Mrs. Hannelore Hoffmann first on Brandenburg level in July 1998 after a private Gambia-trip of the initiator. Both Mrs. Hoffmann-Ganswindt as well as the Gambian partner Mr. Soul Camara works on honorary basis.

  AIM  

For children from support-needy families, the school attendance is made possible by regular takeover of the school-dues. This support takes place preferably up to the conclusion of the education of the child and is granted without difference of sex, race and religion. To this purpose, preferential sponsorship-circumstances are initiated and are looked after.
 
Beside the intercession of sponsorships, a fire-brigade-fund, which is used for it, is entertained to support especially needy families and such children or teenager help to achieve, that had to would break off the school attendance during the schooldays for financial reasons.
As well, the medications become finance for sick children and / or a doctor-visit / hospital stay costs and projects at scholastic facilities. 

  THE ASSOCIATION

The association “children help The Gambia” was established in January 2000 and has its seat in Zossen. The benefit to the public was confirmed the association in August 2004 by exemption-information of the tax office Luckenwalde for the next three years again, donations and dues are tax-deductible through it.

In the year 2003, we have gotten the registration in Gambia.
